About

Rotary Shanti Van is the flagship environment and afforestation project of Rotary Club of Gurgaon Cosmopolitan (RCGC), Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

The word in the title Shanti means peace and Van means forest.  Thus "Rotary Shanti Van" is Rotary's peace forest.

This is not a tree plantation project, but a multi year, mega project.

Presently Rotary Shanti Van is implementing an afforestation-cum-restoration project at Pali Bani, near village Pali, in Faridabad, Haryana, India in collaboration with local NGO Save Aravali.

In the coming years, many more forests, primarily in the Aravalli hills, in and around the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) will be implemented.

It is mammoth effort requiring enormous time, efforts and financial resources.  Therefore Rotary Shanti Van, is looking for global partners, corporate CSR support, volunteers, expert advice from environmentalists, etc.
